OUR STORY
The company begun in 1978 in the commercial fur trade. Paolo Manetti, the company's founder, had the idea of moving into production from the outset, at once, thanks also to his wife, Iliana, designer and pattern maker, who has always been attentive to trends in fashion, design and art. Achieving success at home in Italy was the first step in a process that was to see MANETTI garner great attention in foreign markets in the 1980s. Remaining true to its own identity, and producing clothing that was easily identifiable as its own, helped the company to create real market niches.
At a time when flashy forms prevailed, Manetti's items were distinguished by clean lines, bold yet harmonious combinations and the precision of each and every detail. It was in these years that the eclectic designer Gordon Leonard Clarke proposed bold colours and revolutionary models much shorter and lighter and established a really modern idea of furs. This choice would determine the ultimate success of the brand, which prefers understated sensuality, enhanced by snug-fitting materials and shapes to the typical industry glitz. This success was accompanied by a new internal organization, which saw increases in staff and a more developed organization.
The role of the Manetti family, however, remains unchanged: Paolo continues to lead the company supported by his wife, Iliana. Today the MANETTI brand is synonymous with cutting-edge style and harmony, new and elegant solutions, and is a blend of Italian tradition and new influences, without lack the utmost attention to customers' needs and expectations.

THE BRAND
MANETTI is a brand with a clear identity, expressed by it stylistic research, ability to experiment and human dimensions. All these aspects can be found in the clothing products which, as always, do not follow trends but, rather, anticipate them. Stylistic research is the basis of the commercial offerings of the company that is constantly looking for new fashion ideas for each collection, reworking trends and creating fresh combinations of materials and workmanship.
Furthermore, the brand is noted for its ability to experiment, and to go beyond obvious solutions.
Products are elegant, fashionable and high quality, made with the stylistic italian know-how. Materials and skins are purchased in the most important markets and international auctions and are guaranteed by the rules and regulations of the Washington Convention.
Finally, the human dimension is the truly distinguishing feature of our internal workflows and relations with clients. The MANETTI brand came about through the efforts of the Manetti family, which, to this day remains the heart of the company, together with a team of collaborators who share its goals and values, working to achieve the corporate vision every day.
